Hi there, 

 

I am Evelyne, 52 years old (and counting...), mother of 2 and a business owner. The end.

Short and concise. 

​

The longer version goes like this: I studied and got a master's degree in biology in Belgium. I have created my own business, working from home, as I didn't want my daughter to grow up in a day care, never seeing me. I married once, had my second child, a son, but divorced a couple of years later. 

​

Since then I am a single mom with 2 kids and 2 dogs, 3 when I count the one of my daughter. I have always had at least one dog, and often took dogs from shelters to give them a home at our place. We once had 24 dogs at the same time!

Even though, it was not always easy managing that many furry noses, these still were my happiest times. Because, even though it might seem crazy and I often got critized for it, I was doing what I loved: taking care of animals in need. Now, I am down to 3 (2), being very fond of Cani-cross and hiking. 

My kids often jokingly call me Khalisii, mother of dogs as a Game of Thrones reference. 

I started this blog in preparation of my breaking free in around 7 years in on March 11, 2024.
